I hope you are all staying well and optimistic. Brimfield is around the corner and the shop is bursting with many great purchases from this past winter. I buy year round and of course, with the economy such as it is, there seem to be more textiles knocking at my door, looking for new homes. I have always thought of this as the "rag" business, in its most old-fashioned sense: bits and pieces of discarded fluff (to some) are often lovingly re-purposed into the most wonderful: garments, quilts, doll-clothing, christening gowns, valentines and costumes of all types. Come in for inspiration or maybe just a little pick-me-up and you will find 19th buttons, wonderful hand-made lace and beautiful embellishments for any budget. If there has been any one find that I am especially excited about from this winter's buying, it is the recently expanded collection of antique and vintage trims. I am also branching out to include a contemporary cotton tape, that has a nice antique look. It seems to be a staple for so many of you.

The shop will be open the Brimfield week until at least 6 pm, daily. Our regular, non-Brimfield hours are daily except Tuesday from 11 - 5.
